For mother’s day, we had lunch at 15th Street Fisheries last weekend. We were easily able to seat ourselves downstairs and, despite that, a server promptly approached us and took our drink orders. Efficient no?
My daughter started off with a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. She loved it!

Chunky, creamy, and flavorful.
And my hubby [...]

We drove to Naples last weekend and arrived at the very quaint Fifth Avenue South exactly around lunch time. As we were all very excited to hit the beach, we decided on a casual, filling, but no fuss lunch. Since not a lot of restaurants were open for lunch yet, we ended up going to [...]

We’ve been to Baltimore about three times and each time, we would always make room for Obrycki’s. I’ll save you the suspense and tell you that I’m giving them a rating of 5 out of 5 for all two visits. Well, ok, maybe 4.5 out of 5 for one particular visit when the service [...]

For our 5th Anniversary last December, hubby and I took advantage of The Little Gym’s Parents Survival Night and left Ninna to play at the gym for three hours while we went out on a (rare, just the two of us) date.
We decided to go to the Seminole Paradise at the Hard Rock [...]

Our destination last weekend was Key West. We arrived at past 1pm so you can just imagine how hungry we were. Two words: Seafood Buffet. And that’s where we went.

Captain Mario’s is located along Duval Street. If you weren’t really looking for it specifically, you could surely miss it.

The restaurant itself is housed in [...]

We drove to Tampa last weekend, primarily to attend a Filipino festival. While there, though we spent a few hours at the beach, too. Before heading back to Miami, our friends took us out for lunch at Pho Quyen, a Vietnamese Noodle House along Hillsborough Avenue.

Service is warm, albeit a bit slow, but all [...]

I once mentioned to Weng that our faqmily had yet to find “our fave noodle house” here in our new home in FL. We used to have a favorite Vietnamese noodle house in NC - The Saigon Palace - which we went to whenever the we were craving for some authentic, steaming, tasteful Vietnamese noodles [...]

On our way to the Bal Harbor Shops, we chanced upon Tatay’s - a Filipino Restaurant located on 167th St. It was a good thing because Hubby, Ninna, our friend Bobbet and I were all craving for some authentic pinoy laman-tiyan.

They serve food turo-turo style, although they also had some items served ala carte - [...]

Before leaving Texas, we just had to. Marj, this one is for you.
There was a reason why I boxed up my pots and pans early - its a good excuse to cajole hubby to order take out from Pappasitos! Hehe! I mean, really, when you’re in Texas you just have to have great Tex-Mex!
We had [...]
