I have always been a fan of dumplings. Give me a dumpling and chances are I’ll eat it.
Currently, I am very much into takoyakis, i.e. octopus balls.
I actually first came across the idea for this dumpling from playing my daughter’s Nintendo DS game, The Legendary Starfy. One of its mini-games was entitled “Dumpling Master”, wherein you had to cook as many takoyakis as you can before the time ran out. Of course, nobody in my family could beat my record (ehem). So imagine my happiness when I discovered that a small kiosk in my local mall sold takoyakis! Finally, I was going to actually see them cook the dumplings and then me to actually eat them. 
The verdict: gimme a couple of comfy contemporary sofas, a TV, a cup of sake, and my takoyakis and I am super genki desu!
