My godchild celebrated her first birthday a few months back. The theme for her birthday is perfect for the LaPiS theme: Strawberry Shortcake. The picture above is a basket of chocolate-covered strawberries which served as the main centerpiece.
Her Strawberry Shortcake fondant cake was homemade by a good friend. It had a lot of, of course, strawberry details. If it looked great on the outside, the cake inside was double yummy. I wish I had that kind of talent, hehe!
Kids just grow up so fast. A year ago, my godchild was born premature as her mom had complications due to eclampsia. The circumstances of her birth was a real nail-biter for everyone. Makes you think about the importance of getting a term life insurance quote for yourself. I’m glad that everything went well in spite of everything and now, we got to celebrate her first birthday in a chocolate-covered fashion.
