Actually, I could have submitted this entry for last week’s topic, too.

This is our neighborhood pizza place.
Definitely, its not your average joe’s pizza place. The servers don’t wear goofy fast food uniforms and, to a certain extent, are not as “clean cut” as you would expect employees of pizza places would be – their tattoos and piercings should speak for themselves.
Not to be confused with another Not Your Average Joe’s Restaurant in Boston, this one is local to Tampa and is owned by no less than Tampa’s strip club mogul, Joe Redner, which explains a lot considering the pizza place is situated along the strip club row of steel buildings. What makes the pizzas supposedly exotic are the exotic ingredients that they add to their pizzas, as well as the punk-rocky atmosphere of the place.

As for the pizza, we ordered the Jr. Carnivore (that’s all meat, in case you couldn’t guess from the title). The Junior is 12 inches, just perfect for my family of three, and they also have a Senior, which is 14 inches. Unfortunately, the bottom crust and some of the toppings on top were a bit overcooked so by the time we got to it, the pizza bread and some pepperonis got really tough. The pizza looked and smelled appetizing, though, and what wasn’t burnt tasted good.
Or perhaps we came at the wrong time. Maybe we should have gone with the lap dancer crowd at around midnight.
