We held a second-part despedida lunch for our friends at Nori Nori, a japanese and seafood buffet restaurant along Roswell Road the day after our surprise despedida dinner the previous night. Actually, the lunch was an impromptu one, perhaps because we couldn’t really see ourselves cutting the cord between us and our departing friends just yet.

Nori Nori is located at what was once our fave japanese and seafood buffet place, Badayori (and Minado before that). Unfortunately, Badayori closed and we were left without a “usual” hangout. I don’t really know what happened to the restaurant but I do hope they had business insurance.

Anyway, Nori Nori (re)opened last October but we’ve never had the opportunity to drop by before last week and I have to say that I love this place even more now! The sushi selection is bigger and their seafood selection is yummy! My hubby particularly loves the fish dishes.  Thinking about it, if the food is great for lunch, my tummy is already doing somersaults at the thought of their dinner menu!

Considering that there were 15 adults and 18 kids in our party, we were seated at the “sunroom” area to give us a bit more privacy and space (and I guess so we won’t also unduly disturb the other dining guests, hehe!).

However, while there, I didn’t really concentrate much on taking pictures of the food – I was actually paying more attention to being with our best group of friends here in Atlanta. So no food pictures for now, sorry! I’ll do that when we come back next time (which is for sure!).

We decided to seat ourselves accordingly.

The ladies’ table (where all the gossip is discussed.).

The men’s table (where all the serious stuff is rehashed over and over again, haha!)

And the table with the funny faces.

See why the other customers are probably very glad we were isolated in that little corner of the restaurant? :)

Anyway, we couldn’t think of a better place to have spent our last lunch (for now!) with our friends John, Sheng, and their kids Zoe and Josh. I’m sure this will also be the place for our welcome back dinner for them. :)
