These are chocolate crinkles, which I learned from and was inspired to make by my amiga AbbyG (I think around last year?). Anyway, it’s a pretty simple cookie to make, really – it’s not overly ornate, neither does it require a lot of prepping nor ingredients to create, and it is admittedly pretty undramatic for a holiday treat. But, much like the reason for the season, a lowly manger could never hinder the emergence of one so glorious and triumphant.
