Che asked me for a list of my Makeup Essentials. Thanks sis!
The thing is, compared to what I’ve been using as a free and single party girl, my makeup kit’s contents now are pretty basic. In truth, I don’t fuss about makeup as much as I did back then. Here’s a peek at what I’ve been essentially using lately.
1. Face

Before anything else, I put on (my newest favorite discovery) Shisheido’s Skincare Day Moisture Protection (with SPF 15). I love this product, truly. I hope everyone will discover and use this too.

I use Laura Mercier Powder Foundation (I’m a #6). I’ve been using the same one for the past four or five years. I don’t know why but I’m really loyal to this product, probably because it’s worked for me.

As for blush, I don’t use it much. But if I really really have to, I just use the blush that goes with this collection palette from YSL that my husband purchased for me some time ago. I don’t actually tell him but I hardly use it, shhh! Hehe. Aside from putting on eye makeup, putting on blush is enough of a fuss for me already.
2. Eyes

I use Bobbi Brown’s Nudes Palette. I love Bobbi Brown because her products go really well with my Asian skin and skin tone. I hardly use eye makeup, though, and would usually reserve it for when I’m out with my girlfriends or with hubby.

As for mascara, I love Diorshow Unlimited Mascara, especially the brush that goes with it. Mascara is a basic for me since I’m a curly-thick-eyelash-challenged woman, hehe.

And I also love Shu Uemura’s Eyelash curler. It’s the best there is, I guarantee! I lost mine a couple of months ago, so I need to get a new one, stat. Go get one for yourself, now!
3. Lips

Anything that comes from NARS and Stila, I love.
4. A Smile
I’m never fully dressed without it.
And that’s it. So even though I don’t really wear as much makeup as any woman could (if they want to, of course), I put on enough so that I won’t at least look like I need alcohol rehab or be checked into a drug treatment center, haha!
How about you? What are your makeup essentials?
