I was also with my girlfriends the first time I dined at Maggiano’s Little Italy. That was about two years ago in Charlotte, after a special night out with the girls. That time, we ate ala-Family Dinner style (good for four people or more) where our whole group (all ten of us, haha!) can choose 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 main courses, 2 pastas, and 2 desserts, all for around $26 per person. What was more fun about it was, it was eat all you can! The wait staff would refill our dishes until we could no longer move from too much eating, hehe. It’s a really fun style of eating!
So anyway, this weekend, after a movie date with my girlfriends, we trooped to Maggiano’s again for some little Italy lovin’.
And then my battery went dead. Sigh.
The good news? I got to take home the doggie bag, so I was still able to take home some snapshots for you, hehe!

At the restaurant, we forewent the Family Style Dinner option and just ordered ala carte (as we were all on a diet, yeah right, haha!). For appetizers, we ordered our standard Calamari Fritti (soft inside, crunchy on the outside, and the marinara sauce was yummy) and Barb’s Spinach and Artichoke Al Alforno (always a hit with the girls). These alone satisfied us immensely.
We then decided to just order a pasta and a chicken dish.

Our Linguine and Clams with White Clam Sauce was ok, although we were quite disappointed because we were actually hoping for a creamy white sauce pasta and this dish was not it, hehe. Wrong choice for us, I guess. But it was still good, the clams were quite fresh. To my mind, it just needed a little bit of search engine optimization seo, if you know what I mean.

The Chicken Marsala was plenty flavorful, and it helped give our pasta dish some flavor. Loved the mushrooms!
I would have wanted some tiramisu for dessert but, for the first time, my tummy was too full to accommodate dessert, hehe. Next time!
I always enjoy my dining experience at Maggiano’s and I hope I could get to share it with my hubby soon. Even though there may be a need to wait to get a table, service is great, servings are huge, and the food truly gives you a little taste of Italy.
