LaPiS02: Dessert

I learned the recipe for this Buco Pandan Salad from my friend, Nel. She prepared it one time at a special get-together/ reunion of sorts among our friends. A few minutes after the first person tasted it, the word was spread and, before anyone knew it, a desperate stampede was moving towards the buffet table [...]

Haven’t I told you guys before that I am a huge Criss Angel fan? Yes, I am. I have always been a fan of magic and magicians but more so with mentalism - the kind of magic Criss Angel does. Unlike the magic acts of Harry Houdini or even David Copperfield, Angel’s magic is an [...]

Isn’t is juicy to see our fave brands coming out with their own natural, recyclable, cotton canvas totes? I love the heart design - it’s genius. For $75 are you ready to help save the world?

New bloggers seem to emerge left and right nowadays and sometimes it can be hard to keep track of your favorite reads - especially when you discover more and more favorite reads every day. That said, aside from RSS feed subscription, there’s no other way of informing or encouraging your own visitors to come back [...]

ganyan talaga ang buhay lagi kang nasasabihan
pagkat ikaw ay bata at wala pang nalalaman
makinig ka sa ‘king payo pagkat musmos pa lamang
at malaman nang maaga ang wasto sa kamalian
(its not time to make a change,
just relax, take it easy.
you’re still young, that’s your fault,
theres so much you have to know).

Florida shares the same tropical climate as the Philippines (it’s summer all year long!), which isn’t surprising why many of the fruits that we have over there are more or less also available here.
However, if there is one fruit that’s always in our home, it is the Cantaloupe, or simply “melon” to us Pinoys.

My [...]

I was hoping to be able to have a nice family lunch to celebrate Father’s Day, where Ninna could have fun while hubby and I actually get to eat real food at the same time. Of course, fast food joints such as Burger King and McDonald’s were out of the picture, even if they did [...]

Goodbye Broom

When I was still a kid, I remember that my mom used to sweep our carpets and rugs with a broom. Yes, you read that right. She literally swept our carpet with a broom, one that’s made out of bunched up dried coconut leaf sticks (which we call walis tingting in our country). Admittedly, it [...]

Aren’t they cute? For the Y-Mail Clutch you can choose black or white patent leather to go with the gold postcard-script embossing. The Y-Mail Tote on the other hand only comes in gold leather with black postcard-script embossing. Only YSL can make something so wal-marty look (and cost) so chic.
I really really love [...]
