WS01: Pho Quyen

We drove to Tampa last weekend, primarily to attend a Filipino festival. While there, though we spent a few hours at the beach, too. Before heading back to Miami, our friends took us out for lunch at Pho Quyen, a Vietnamese Noodle House along Hillsborough Avenue.

Service is warm, albeit a bit slow, but all in all, we came away very satisfied. So satisfied, in fact, that I almost forgot to take pics. :)

This is what was (almost) left of the Stuffed Squid with Ground Shrimps in Coconut Milk. Can you still spot the three remaining ones?

And this is our unanimous fave, the fried calamari. Crunchy on the outside but the squid was soft and melty on the inside. Yum!

My hubby had his staple Pho Ga, which he shared with our daughter. No chance of me taking the bowl away from my hungry brood even for a few seconds. So, no pic. :D

If and when they do decide to put up a branch in Miami, we will be their first customers, for sure. :)
